Jelani Quinn is an actor originally from Seattle, WA. His career began as a child actor, appearing in local network television, industrial projects, and regional commercials. This talented actor got his break into network Television working with well-known director/producer Thomas Carter. Jelani knew he wanted to be actor since the age of 5. He has always been an avid television watcher and a huge movie buff. He is a huge fan of the James Bond, 007 movie franchise.

 

Jelani recently appeared on S.W.A.T. and the “Mindy Project” working along side the multi- talented Mindy Kailing. He was also part of the large cast for the return of “Twin Peaks.” Jelani says working with the highly regarded and renowned director, David Lynch is one of the highlights of his career, thus far. Jelani has also been featured in NBC’s “Parks and Recreations” as well as in the cult classic feature film, “10 Things I Hate About You,” and is currently participating in various projects. Jelani is also in the process of writing various projects as well.

Jelani, having studied with Emmy-Award Winning director Mary Lou Beli, Brian Reise, and commercial director/author Tom Logan, he continues to innovate his artistic abilities to find new ways of expression. He brings that same level of professionalism to every set.

A graduate of the University of Washington, with a double-degree in Psychology and Business Administration, his acting career has been his main focus. However, as a trained mediator and negotiator, his knowledge of mediation and conflict resolution strategies are used to instruct young people all over the country how to better mediate disputes with their peers. These skills also give him the ability to work people from various backgrounds and different types of personalities.

Jelani is a barbecue enthusiast and a budding pit master. He loves kicking back and making his signature smoked ribs and other barbecue delicacies for his friends and family to enjoy.
